Being a "yes" mom
I've been doing ALOT better. Madelynn seems to be enjoying it. I am getting close to mastering saying yes but saying no at the same time. Like if she asks before dinner if she can have a piece of candy. I'll say, "Yes, you can have a piece of candy after dinner if you eat everything." She's totally ok with that and with her crazy memory she's sure to remind me every time.
Loose 100lbs
As of today I have lost 10.4 pounds. I have come to the realization this week that I used to eat WAY to many calories in a day. I would skip meals like breakfast or lunch, but I would eat a HUGE dinner and then snack all evening because of it. Eating like that adds up. I think that's why I'm loosing weight so quickly.
I'm using myfitnesspal.com to track my calories and exercise. It's a really useful website and app. You should check it out. Friend me on there and we can encourage each other!
I actually enjoy exercising. That's new for me. Since I was like 10 I've been over weight. My cousin at some point decided that it was her mission to help me. She would have me do crazy exercises and was quite mean. I remember just crying when I would go home from my Grandma's. I hated exercising and the negative feedback from her didn't help either. Every time since then that I decided I was going to loose weight has gone horribly. I'd cut WAY back on food and pick exercises that were to hard. So it wouldn't last. This time around I've cut my calories back reasonably and I look forward to exercising. This last week I did Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred
I'm quite pleased with how things are going. If I keep at this rate I'll reach my goal before the end of the year so I can set a new goal.
How are you doing? Need an accountability partner? I'd be glad to help you out.
Sounds like you are doing AWESOME! Me not so much. If the weather isn't too cold I think we can come to the track sometimes, especially in the spring. I can totally log that :) Could you put H in the Moby & M in the stroller? Or be on the look out for a double stroller?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're doing great! Yay on the weight loss! I lost over 70 lbs a couple years ago and so far I've kept it off, and it feels great. I'm going to use your yes mom trick on my son. I tend to be way too easy on him, so he gets very testy when I say no, lol.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Liza! Sounds like you're doing awesome! I just bought Jillian Michaels' Shred and I need to get up off the chair and do it :) Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I am so proud of you! Keep up the great work!
