K&E Darlin Designs Review and Giveaway

What could cause giggles, smiles, dancing, funny faces, and all around cuteness in a little girl?  A pretty tutu and bow of course.  A K&E Darlin Designs tutu and bow to be exact.

K&E Darlin Designs is run by 3 Mommies with 8 kids all together.  Their slogan is "Making the world tutu cute, on little girl at a time."  And isn't that the truth.  Their tutus are adorable.  They are very well made.  The hold up to my very active almost 18 month old.  The tulle they use is soft tulle.  I've seen some made with thicker, rougher tulle and little girls don't keep them on because they're itchy.  The only reason Madelynn too hers off is because there is so much tulle in the tutu that when she sat down to read a book it got in her way.  These tutus are very full.  There is no skimpin on tulle for sure.  And the bow is a beautifully full korker bow. 

After Madelynn let me take pictures of her sitting in our rocking chair she spun around in circles dancing.  She loves the tutu and bow and I do as well.

We'd like to take a moment to appreciate our husbands.  The Daddies to our precious babies.  They are wonderful.  They are gentle and kind.  Yet they have a firm hand to discipline and teach.  They love to play and have fun. They are there to wipe all of the tears away.  They are the best Daddies for our children we could ever ask for.  They are prefect.  Thank you Casey and Jeff for being the best Daddies that you can be.

Dr. Bloom's Chewable Jewels Review and Giveaway

Dr. Bloom's Chewable Jewels is the original teething jewelery invented by Dr. Helen Bloom Smith.  They are created by a dentist, FDA approved, phthalate free, lead free, BPA free, PVC free, Latex free, waterproof, and dishwasher safe.  I don't think you could ask for more in teething jewelery.  

The people at Dr.Bloom were kind enough to send Madelynn and I three teething bracelets to review.  They are very fashionable to begin with.  I don't wear bracelets usually but they look just like the plastic bracelets you see people wearing.  They're just rubbery and safe for your baby to chew on.  I wear them sometimes but when I don't feel like wearing them I stick the bracelets in my purse anyway because Madelynn is currently getting her eye teeth.  When we are shopping she will start chewing on her hand or try to chew on the buckle.  With these all I have to do is take one out of my purse or off my wrist and give it to her.  It keeps her from getting germs from the cart and from getting drool all down her hand and arm.  I like them alot better than the other teething jewelery I have tired.  They don't collect fuzz.  Which I think is awesome cause then you don't have to wipe them off every time you want to give it to you baby/toddler.  I'd definitely recommend this teething jewelery as far as bracelets go over others.  I don't so much like the shape of the necklace.  But that's a personal preference.

Follow-Up Friday

This week has been an exciting one.  Our Mommy Tackle Box Monday post was a pretty special one.  If you haven't read it yet you probably want to.  Nicole and I are both expecting!  We promise that we won't do only maternity/newborn review and giveaways but there will be more of them now then there has been.

We've decided that most of our giveaways will be 1 entry giveaways.  The only ones that will have more entries are ones that companies require us to have more, or very large giveaways.  But I have also added and Extra Entries page.  On this page it tells you how to get 10 extra entries to the giveaway of your choice by referring a friend.  If you'd like these make sure  you follow everything the page says to do.

Follow-Up Friday/ What do you think? edition

Hello, and welcome to another Follow-Up Friday.  

I bet you ladies are getting pretty sick of hearing from just me.  I know I can be boring sometimes.  You don't have to worry though.  Nicole is back and she's ready for some bloggin.  She has so many cool reviews comin up for you.  I'm pretty jealous of the cool stuff she gets.

How do you like the new layout?  Please tell me you like it?  I've been searchin for complements on it all week.  Well, since the last time I changed it.  The way I changed it earlier in the week had the same stuff going on as this one pretty much.  I just didn't like the color.  I think it's gonna stay this way until we can get a custom made template.

What are your thoughts on giveaway entries?  I've been playin around with a few new ways lately.  Do you like having to leave just one comment even if it means you have to do 1 or 2 things for the entry to be valid?  We didn't get a very large response to the photo contest.  Did everyone pretty much not like that?  Or was the prize on it not large enough?  We would really like to know how you feel.  Let us have it!

Brain dead?

I absolutely loved summer break when I was in school.  It meant lots of free time, not having homework to do constantly, getting hang out with friends, and just doing the things I loved.  We didn't have the internet until I was in high school.  And even then I didn't start using things like facebook and such regularly until my junior or senior year.  We had video games but my brothers and I didn't really play them much.  The thing we did the most was drown ourselves in the television.  But today the computer is like TV was to us.  While watching TV or playing on the computer I would slowly loose all of the information I had learned at school.  I don't know if it's because the info didn't stick very well so it was easy to forget or because I was filling my brain with other nonscence.  Whatever the case may be, when I went back to school the teachers expected us to remember things we had learned the year before and I just couldn't.  And I wasn't the only one.  There were many kids that didn't remember.
There is this cool new tool called GetNoodles.  It allows parents to set up timed questions on the computer for their kids.  So once every 5-55 minutes you can have you child quizzed on something they should know from school.  If they answer the question right they get to keep playing.  If it's answered wrong they are locked out of playing on the computer.  I think it's an awesome tool to keep your children's mind fresh.  Even if you're homeschooling I think it's a good tool.

Cozy Knits For You Review and Giveaway

While I was looking around to find handmade stuff to review I found Cozy Knits for You.  Cozy Knits is a Mommy to a 2 year old little girl.  She loves to knit cozys, scarves, hats, sweaters, and pretty much anything you could think of knitting like Vegetables.  I'm not even joking.  She knits Vegetables and is going to start knitting Fruit very soon. I think that's super cool.

I was allowed to review a Hand Knitted Flower Hair Clip and 3 Hand Knitted Eggs.  Really I should say Miss M was allowed to review them.  She's the one that used and played with them.

I really liked the hair clip.  It was super simple but really cute at the same time.  It stayed in Miss M's hair very well and it even held up to her pulling on it and chewing on it.  It was knitted beautifully and was very good quaility.

Miss M loved the Eggs the best.  I wish I had a picture of her.  I was cooking when my husband opened the package.  He likes to open my mail.  As soon as Miss M saw the Eggs she got excited.  He took them out and gave them to her and she ran back and forth to her room and then the living room with one in her mouth and one in each hand.  She was giggling and squealing the whole time.  Then my Husband showed her she could play with them in her play farm or she could throw them.  So she kept the one in her mouth and played with the other two.  They are very sturdy.  I know because not much stands up to the death hold of toddler teeth.  Stuff eventually gets holes or breaks or something like that.  But these held their shape and there were no holes.  Now I'm not tellin you to let your toddler chew on these cause that's definitely not what they're for but just in case it happens they'll be ok.
